What an ideal time in our lives to share information, support one another and show love. The current climate of our country does not seem to promote any of these ideas. Instead it promotes hate, greed, and a dismissive attitude toward those things and people that do not represent the status quo. I am inclined to believe there are more of us who want to be kind than those who do not.
In this forum I am thankful for the intent; the ability to speak to truth and ask for help if we need it. The truth is parenting is hard at best and overwhelming at most. Parenting a child with a diagnosis (no matter what the diagnosis is) is sometimes just too much. In this space we will talk about it- honestly and empathetically with the hope that someone will gain strength to go on another day and make the bold moves that life sometimes requires.
